|Xue Liang is
Born in Jingjiang, Jiangsu Province in 1956. Graduated
from Nanjing Art College in 1982. After graduating, he worked as an art
editor for Xinhua Daily in 1997. Since 1997, he has worked in the
Jiangsu Provincial Academy of Fine Arts.
Former deputy dean of the Chinese Painting Academy of Jiangsu Province,
curator of the Fu Baoshi Memorial Hall, researcher of the China Academy
of Art, doctoral tutor of the China Academy of Art, vice chairman of the
Jiangsu Artists Association, member of the Jiangsu Provincial Federation
of Literary and Art Circles, member of the 9th Jiangsu Provincial
Political Consultative Conference, Member of the 10th Jiangsu Provincial
Political Consultative Conference, member of the 12th National Committee
of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, librarian of
the Jiangsu Provincial Literature and History Museum, vice president of
the NLD Central Academy of Fine Arts, vice president of the Jiangsu
Chinese Painting Society, vice president of the Jiangsu Children's
Foundation, art of Jiangsu Province Subject leader of the professional
review committee for senior titles. National first-class artists enjoy
special allowances from experts from the State Council.
In 2013, it won the first “Zijin Culture Medal” issued by the Jiangsu
Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government; in 2014, it won
the “Jiangsu Province Art Achievement Award”.
His works have participated in national and provincial exhibitions for
many times. He has won the national gold medal once, the national silver
medal three times, the provincial silver medal three times, the
provincial bronze award once, and the provincial academic achievement
award four times. He has held personal exhibitions at home and abroad.
He has published six collections of personal paintings, and nearly ten
large-scale works have been collected by government agencies such as
major art galleries, museums, Zhongnanhai, and Chairman Mao Memorial
